Job Title:
Accounts Payable Analyst
Our client, a growing industrial services organization, is seeking a motivated and technically savvy Accounts Payable Analyst to join their finance team. This role is ideal for an individual who brings strong Excel skills, is comfortable leveraging AI and modern technology, and is eager to improve processes within a traditionally non-tech-forward AP environment. The ideal candidate is analytically strong, quick to learn, and confident using technology to drive efficiency in an operationally focused business.
Key Responsibilities- Process and review accounts payable transactions with a high degree of accuracy
- Utilize advanced Excel skills (including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables) to analyze data and support reporting
- Assist with invoice discrepancies and dispute resolution, identifying root causes and working toward resolution
- Leverage AI tools and technology to streamline AP processes and improve turnaround times
- Partner with internal stakeholders and vendors typical of an industrial services environment
- Identify opportunities to modernize workflows and improve efficiency within the AP function
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and accounting standards
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables
- High level of technical comfort, including interest in AI tools and emerging technologies
- Bachelor's degree required
- Preferred fields:
Accounting, Economics, Finance, or other analytical disciplines
- Preferred fields:
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and confidently introduce new ideas or tools
- Clear communicator with a proactive, improvement‑oriented mindset
- Experience or exposure within the industrial services industry, including operationally driven or field-based organizations
- Accounts Payable, finance, accounting, or dispute resolution experience
- Experience working with ERP or accounting systems
- Interest in process improvement, automation, or modernizing finance operations
Salary range:
As required by local law, the salary range for this role is noted in the job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses and can participate in medical, dental, vision benefits, and the company’s 401(k) retirement plan.
