EdAdvance is one of Connecticut's six Regional Educational Service Centers (RESCs). EdAdvance is a partner in the RESC Alliance and works collaboratively with the other RESC groups to support state-wide initiatives. Mission:

School Social Worker or School Psychologist — BEAM Elementary School, Danbury, CT. Immediate Opening. Full Time / Academic Calendar 185 days + option for additional work in Extended School Year. Exempt. BEAM Elementary School, located in Danbury, supports students in Kindergarten through Grade 7 with complex learning profiles. We are a collaborative, multidisciplinary team that values consultation and creative problem-solving to develop innovative interventions aligned to students diverse strengths and needs.
Qualifications- Valid Connecticut Education Endorsement:
School Social Worker (071) or School Psychologist (070) - Experience providing individual and group counseling and interventions to support students with social-emotional and behavioral skill development
- Proficiency with IEP development, the PPT process, and special education regulations
- Familiarity working within the CT-SEDS platform
- Actively supports school culture by partnering with staff to apply restorative practices that promote accountability, relationships, and conflict resolution
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Other duties as may be assigned
- Must be able to physically participate in student restraint and/or seclusion
- Regular and consistent attendance is an essential function of this job
