Danbury Hospital, part of Nuvance Health, and now Northwell Health, is seeking a full-time non-invasive Cardiologist to join our established and growing employed practice in Danbury, Connecticut. The practice includes thirteen cardiologists and six APRNs and excellent support staff in addition to teaching rotations with our Cardiology Fellows. Danbury Hospital's Emergency Department is an accredited Level II Trauma Center, a Stroke Center and a Chest Pain Center, offering 24-hour interventional cardiology.
Cardiac services at the hospital include Nuclear Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, and Arrhythmia Center. Our Cardiac Surgery Program includes TAVR. Part-time scheduling options are available.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a highly competitive compensation package, including base salary plus incentives and generous allowances for CMEs and Dues expenses as well as sign on bonus, retention bonus, and relocation allowance.
Responsibilities- Provide outpatient office services in the main office in the Medical Arts Building next to the hospital campus.
- Provide inpatient services at Danbury Hospital.
- Engage in teaching rotations with Cardiology Fellows at Danbury Hospital.
- Collaborate with a team of thirteen cardiologists, six APRNs, and dedicated support staff.
- Participate in a program that includes Nuclear Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Arrhythmia Center, and a Cardiac Surgery Program with TAVR.
- Board certified/eligible in Cardiology.
- Open to new and recent graduates, including 2026 candidates.
Established in 1885, Danbury Hospital is a not-for-profit community hospital serving the Greater Danbury area. The hospital has 371 beds, is a Level II Trauma Center, and sees approximately 70,000 ED visits per year. Danbury Hospital is affiliated with the University of Vermont College of Medicine, Ross University, American University of the Caribbean, and Yale School of Medicine.
Danbury is located in the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains, near the border of New York State, about 60 miles northeast of New York City.
