Role Description

This is a full‑time, on‑site Construction Accountant role located in Danbury, CT. The Construction Accountant will handle day‑to‑day financial operations, including preparing and analyzing budgets, maintaining financial records, and ensuring the accuracy of project costs. Responsibilities include processing invoices, tracking expenses, preparing reports, and collaborating with project teams to ensure financial compliance and accuracy. This role requires a detail‑oriented individual with strong organizational and analytical skills.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting specific to construction projects
  • Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and job cost analysis
  • Familiarity with construction accounting software and Microsoft Excel – SAGE 300 A HUGE PLUS
  • Strong organizational, time management, and analytical skills to handle multiple tasks
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with project teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Prior experience in the construction industry is preferred
  • Familiarity with AIA forms, certified payroll and retainage
