Accountant (Construction)

Location: Danbury, CT (100% Onsite)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm (1-hour lunch)
Compensation: $75,000-$95,000

Key Responsibilities of Accountant:

• Proficiency in accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting specific to construction projects
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and job cost analysis
• Familiarity with construction accounting software and Microsoft Excel - SAGE 300 A HUGE PLUS
• Strong organizational, time management, and analytical skills to handle multiple tasks
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with project teams
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Prior experience in the construction industry is preferred
• Familiarity with AIA forms, certified payroll and retainage

Preferred Experience of Accountant:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Hands-on Sage 300 / Timberline experience is required
• Tax preparation experience
• AIA billing preparation

• Construction or mechanical contracting industry experience
• Heavy use of Excel and spreadsheets, particularly for AIA billing and tracking
