The Gift Shop Attendant sells gift shop merchandise to customers. Unpacks, verifies, and inspects received goods, rejecting damaged items or incorrect orders. Maintains records of items received. Prepares goods for display or sale and sorts and distributes items to the appropriate department.
ResponsibilitiesQualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Certification course in sales, marketing, or business management is preferred for better future prospects.
- Ability to work as part of a team; strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to learn about store goods to explain to customers.
- Excellent communication and customer service ethics.
Responsibilities:
- Handle exchange of goods.
- Accept payments and hand over receipts when sales are made.
- Arrange demonstrations of goods.
- Assist customers in choosing goods.
- Place price tags on goods and arrange items attractively.
- Perceive customer needs and show appropriate merchandise.
- Manage multiple tasks and manage time efficiently.
