Job Responsibilities:
- Review property financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with month-end close procedures and journal entries.
- Reconcile cash payments, bank accounts, and other balance sheet accounts.
- Support accounting for property improvement projects and monthly consolidations.
- Participate in special projects and provide support for external audits.
- Demonstrate strong understanding of general ledger accounting principles.
- Show ability to manage multiple tasks and meet month-end deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external auditors.
- Apply attention to detail when reviewing financial data and reconciliations.
- Utilize accounting software and Excel to perform daily accounting functions.
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in general ledger or public accounting.
- Understand real estate accounting practices; industry experience is a plus.
- Maintain knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Exhibit a proactive and analytical mindset in problem-solving tasks.
