About the job Account Manager Sales - Oil & Gas

Our client is a leading provider of specialised heavy lifting, crane hire, and transportation services tailored across the GCC region. With a strong presence in industrial logistics, the company plays a vital role in supporting complex onshore and offshore infrastructure projects through precision handling and reliable delivery solutions.

As Account Manager Sales – Oil & Gas
, they will be instrumental in driving business growth by acquiring new clients and managing key accounts across the energy sector. This strategic role requires deep industry knowledge, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to align client needs with operational capabilities. The candidate will interface regularly with senior internal stakeholders and industry leaders, contributing directly to business planning and long-term revenue strategy.

Business Development & Revenue Growth

  • Drive new business opportunities in crane hire and heavy transport for oil & gas projects
  • Develop tailored proposals and negotiate contracts to meet revenue targets
  • Conduct regular client visits to promote services and secure long-term engagements

Account Management & Client Retention

  • Manage key accounts to ensure service excellence and repeat business
  • Resolve client issues proactively and coordinate with operations and logistics teams
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Track industry trends, competitor activities, and client demands
  • Represent the company at oil & gas events and exhibitions
  • Provide actionable insights to support growth strategies and commercial planning
  • Prepare sales forecasts, performance reports, and account plans
  • Coordinate internally to ensure HSE compliance and aligned project execution
  • Oversee bid preparation and ensure timely collections on awarded contracts

Pipeline Development & Strategic Alignment

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records and lead conversion data
  • Collaborate with leadership to define sales targets and contribute to annual planning
  • Align sales efforts with broader organisational goals in the oil & gas sector

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5–10 years’ experience in B2B sales, preferably within the oil & gas or industrial services sector
  • Proven track record in managing key accounts and closing complex sales deals
  • Strong knowledge of HSE and oil & gas safety regulations (certifications advantageous)
  • Familiarity with market dynamics and commercial models in the region
  • Proficient in CRM systems and sales reporting tools
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to operate in multicultural and cross-functional environments
