This role provides hands-on exposure to shop-floor operations, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement activities, enabling early-career engineers to build strong technical and operational foundations while ensuring compliance with engineering standards, quality requirements, and safety practices.

What you'll do
  • Assist in ensuring workflows, standard work, and approved procedures are followed.
  • Support daily manufacturing operations by troubleshooting production issues, analyzing deviations, and coordinating with Operations, Quality, and Maintenance.
  • Assist in the preparation, review, and control of manufacturing documentation, including Work Instructions (WI), SOPs, routings, Manufacturing BOM (MBOM), and other manufacturing support documents.
  • Support equipment, tooling, and fixture design activities, including layout improvements, ergonomic considerations, and safety enhancements under guidance of senior engineers.
  • Support manufacturing readiness and process validation for new projects.
  • Support Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement activities, such as 5S, waste reduction, Kaizen events, and productivity improvements.
  • Assist in standardization initiatives, including power tools standardization, process standardization, and best-practice implementation across the cell.
  • Work closely with Manufacturing Engineers, Quality Engineers, and Operations leaders to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant manufacturing execution.
  • Follow and promote EHS requirements and company policies, ensuring a safe and disciplined shop-floor environment.
What you'll bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Control Engineering from an accredited university or related technical fields.
  • Basic to intermediate proficiency in CAD software, such as PTC Creo, Siemens NX, or equivalent, for supporting tooling, layout, and design activities.
  • 0 to 1 years of experience in Manufacturing environments.
  • Fundamental understanding of manufacturing processes and shop-floor operations.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement concepts (e.g., 5S, waste reduction, standard work).
What will make you stand out
  • Control Engineering background is preferred, particularly for candidates with exposure to automation, control systems, or industrial instrumentation.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing documentation, including Work Instructions (WI), SOPs, routings, and Manufacturing BOMs (MBOM).
  • For Control Engineering, basic knowledge of industrial control systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills when working with Operations, Quality, and Engineering teams.
  • Good problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities, with a structured and logical approach.
  • High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn, with a proactive and hands-on mindset suited for an early-career role.
  • Good awareness of manufacturing KPIs such as Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity.
  • Willingness to learn how KPIs are applied in daily manufacturing operations.
  • Interest in contributing ideas for process and efficiency improvements.
  • Strong learning mindset with curiosity and initiative.
  • Openness to coaching and feedback from senior engineers.
  • Good problem-solving attitude and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based manufacturing environment.
  • Basic knowledge of GE Vernova control systems (Mark VI) is preferred.
  • Interest in controls, automation, or digital manufacturing is a plus.
