To perform preventive and corrective electro‑mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation activities across filling, packaging, and utility systems within the plant.
The role ensures high equipment availability, minimizes downtime, supports production efficiency, and maintains compliance with safety, electrical, and engineering standards.
The position combines both electrical and mechanical responsibilities to ensure reliable and uninterrupted plant operations.
KeyRoles and Responsibilities
- Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems.
- Diagnose electrical faults using testing instruments (e.g., multimeters, insulation testers).
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues related to filling, labeling, packaging, conveyors, and palletizers.
- Inspect, repair, and replace worn electrical and mechanical components.
- Restore equipment operation quickly to minimize production impact.
- Execute preventive maintenance as per approved schedules.
- Perform maintenance during shutdowns and CIP periods.
- Improve equipment reliability, line efficiency, and overall plant uptime.
- Reduce MTTR (Mean Time to Repair) and frequency of breakdowns.
- Support root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action implementation.
- Install electrical wiring, panels, sensors, motors, and control components as per drawings.
- Support mechanical installations, upgrades, and equipment modifications.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Assist in commissioning new machines and system upgrades.
- Support production teams to achieve planned output and efficiency targets.
- Reduce stoppages on filling and packaging lines.
- Support operators in minor adjustments and changeovers.
- Relieve operators when required to ensure production continuity.
- Coordinate with maintenance team during critical breakdowns.
- Complete work orders accurately and on time.
- Update maintenance records and troubleshooting reports.
- Ensure proper documentation of breakdown analysis and corrective actions.
- Provide technical feedback to Maintenance Supervisor and Planner.
- Monitor availability of critical electrical and mechanical spare parts.
- Coordinate with Stores to ensure timely replenishment.
- Support identification and control of critical consumables and components.
- Follow all HSE policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and safe work practices.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Contribute to reduction of LTAs and safety incidents.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Support and coordinate technicians during major breakdowns.
- Act as shift lead technician when assigned.
- Support cross‑training and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Reduction in electrical and mechanical breakdowns.

Minimum 5 years of experience in electro‑mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing environment (Beverage / FMCG preferred).
Knowledge- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and mechanical components.
- Experience with filling, labeling, packaging, and palletizing machines.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and mechanical schematics.
- Understanding of preventive maintenance and troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with maintenance management systems (SAP preferred).
- Technical Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electro‑Mechanical Engineering.
- Trade certification in Industrial Electricity (preferred).
- Ensure safe and reliable plant operation.
- Maintain compliance with safety and engineering standards.
- Ensure accurate reporting and documentation.
- Strong hands‑on troubleshooting capability.
- Ability to work under pressure during breakdowns.
- Multi‑skilled technical capability (Electrical + Mechanical).
- Strong safety awareness.
