This position reports to:
Service Manager – RMDR.
ABB Motion provides pioneering technology, products, solutions and related services to industrial customers to increase energy efficiency, improve safety and reliability, and maintain precise control over processes. The portfolio includes motors, generators and drives for a wide range of applications in all industrial sectors.
This position reports to:
Service Sales Manager.
- Checking the installation & commissioning of the newly installed LV and MV ABB Drives (ACS series, DCS series, etc.) for ongoing industrial projects, and reporting commissioning work to the customer, ABB installed base, and service manager.
- Servicing faulty medium‑voltage and low‑voltage ABB Drives (ACS 1000, 2000, 5000, 6000, 800, 550, SM1, DCS
500, 350, etc.), ordering and replacing faulty parts (boards, IGBTs, thyristors, etc.) and reporting warranty cases to the manufacturer. - Performing preventive maintenance on various ABB Drives (ACS 1000, 2000, 6000, 500, 880, 800, 550, etc.) and MV Drives.
- Sizing, selecting, and configuring LV & MV ABB Drives and options (software) based on customer machine and installation requirements, using ABB software (Drive Window, Drive Window Light, Drive Studio, Drive Size).
- Reporting customer satisfaction, claims, recommendations and technical issues regarding ABB Drives to BU management, and contributing effectively to promoting ABB products and boosting sales.
- Engineering the system interface for drive upgrade and retrofitting projects as well as new installations.
- Performing root‑cause analysis for customer failures.
- Testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting medium‑voltage variable‑frequency drives (experienced, certified on ABB products: ACS 6000, 1000, 2000, 5000, 580 MV, 6080).
- Working under pressure and traveling to remote sites for extended periods.
- Certified as per ABB Motion Upskills on products (ACS 1000, 2000, 5000, 6000, 6080, 580 MV).
- Expertise in ACS 500 PLC troubleshooting.

Qualifications for the Role- BC or Diploma in Electrical / Electronics Engineering.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in installation, testing, commissioning, and servicing of LV and MV drives.
- Fluent in English is required.
