Job Summary
We are looking for a Sr. Process Optimisation Specialist with experience in process packages and technologies, particularly related to separation, oil processing, water treatment & gas processing (upstream O&G). Located in KSA, the specialist will support or lead process studies, testing/sampling, process de bottlenecking/optimisation and revamps. As part of the Brownfield team, the specialist will advise and support the organisation in Brownfield & Services matters.
Journey& Training
The role begins with an onsite training programme at our state of the art testing facility in Flotta (UK) and at NOV Process Systems HQ offices in Oslo (Norway).
Key Skills & CompetenciesThis role requires strong decision making skills, the ability to communicate process information to internal and external parties, and a technology and solution focused approach. A grasp of fluid dynamics in theory or practice is essential. Attention to detail, technical accuracy, written and spoken communication and the ability to collaborate with team members are critical to success.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities- Ascertain optimisation/upgrade requirements for process equipment and effectively transfer information to internal and external parties.
- Offer specialist knowledge related to separation, oil processing, water treatment & gas processing.
- Develop customised, cost effective solutions.
- Work closely with the UK - Flotta chemistry lab and subject matter expert team.
- Provide proactive input/recommendations for product line development to technical product line managers.
- Support business development and sales in client meetings with technical presentations and clarifications.
- Manage and undertake process studies, consultancy, laboratory based studies and conceptual design.
- Ensure services are executed efficiently and at a quality recognised by the client, including optimisation of processes, tests, etc.
- Plan, manage and execute service inspections of process units, including troubleshooting, optimisation of operation and tests.
- Report findings to third parties in written reports, MS PowerPoint and Flash multimedia presentations at client premises.
- Instruct and train operating personnel at site.
- Support and contribute to the training and mentoring of colleagues as necessary.
- Ensure lessons learned are captured and shared within the company.
- Maintain a high standard of professionalism when representing NOV.
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in the work area and department.
- Ensure personal compliance with all HSE legislation and HSE company policy.
- Travel to KSA and MENA sites as and when required.

- Bachelor's Degree in Process or Chemical Engineering
- Chartered Engineer status (essential)
