Job Responsibilities:
1. Design for EHV 132kV/220kV/330kV/400kV Circuit Breaker LCC panels, including control, protection, interlocking, logic diagrams, supervision, and communication systems.
2. Ensure strict compliance with IEC 62271, IEC 61850, IEC 60044, 16-SAMSS, SEC NG standards, and client technical specifications.
3. Define design philosophy for trip circuits, close circuits, redundancy logic, supervision schemes, fail‑safe operation, and alarm philosophy.
4. Prepare electrical architecture for LCC panels, including:
- Single Line Diagrams (SLD)
- Schematic diagrams
- Wiring diagrams
- Terminal schedules
- IO assignments & interlocking logic
5. Interface with breakers (SF6 / GIS), protection relays, RTU, SCADA, SAS and IEC 61850 systems.
6. Attend technical design reviews, risk assessments, and resolution of design deviations.
7. Supervise and mentor Draftsmen across all grades.
8. Coordinate with Mechanical Design team for layout, enclosure design, heat dissipation and cable entry integration.
9. Participate in FAT, SAT, client inspections and technical audits.
10. Implement continuous design improvement and standardisation strategy.
Experience5 to 12 years working experience in a reputed manufacturing company for EHV LCC panels
Required Knowledge and Skills- AutoCAD / EPLAN proficiency
- Understanding of EHV substation control systems
- IEC 61850 basics
- Strong documentation capability
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
