Steel structures engineer ( Ready Mix Concrete Factory​/KSA

• Responsible for the day-to-day supervision of R2020 Contractor structural steelworks, ready mix, architectural works, or others as directed by the Construction Director and in accordance with project requirements in the general and particular specifications.

• The ARE - Steelwork supports the RE and will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring structural steelwork administration activities.

• Manage pre-construction planning activities, review and comment on the contractor’s construction schedule(s), method statements, and risk assessments for the structural steel works.

• Participate in prequalification review of proposed structural steel suppliers/fabricators and attend factory visits during the approval process.

• Ensure the contractor’s proposed temporary works are sufficiently detailed and checked by the Independent Checking Engineer to ensure the safe erection of the permanent structural steelwork.

• Administer contract works and assist the Resident Engineer (RE) with prompt exchange of correspondence and submittals related to all structural steelwork.

• Assign and supervise the welding engineer and steel inspector daily to ensure all contractor activities are adequately covered.

• Supervise and monitor all aspects of the structural steelwork construction activities, providing quality assurance in accordance with contract documents.

• Assist the RE and project controls team with any issues from the contractor regarding claims, etc.

• Review the contractor’s progress regularly, oversee the recording and updating of work progress, and ensure records are available to indicate progress at all stages of the contract.

• Must have a relevant engineering degree from a reputed university.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in structural steel construction projects related to ready mix factories and metal structure design.
• Experience working on construction projects.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English (verbally and written).
• Portfolio demonstrating technical capabilities and excellent site management skills.
