Job Purpose

Responsible for overseeing and managing all on-site activities during shutdown and turnaround projects
, with a special focus on pressure vessel maintenance, inspection, and repair
. Ensures work is executed safely, on schedule, and in compliance with company and client standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise all on-site shutdown activities related to pressure vessels and associated static equipment.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate manpower, resources, and material requirements for shutdown execution.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards during all project activities.
  • Monitor and report on progress, issues, and risks to project management.
  • Coordinate with inspection teams, QA/QC, and vendors for pressure vessel testing, repairs, and certification.
  • Resolve on-site operational issues and implement corrective actions promptly.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and records for all shutdown activities.
  • Ensure proper handover of completed work to operations team after shutdown completion.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
    , Industrial Engineering
    , or relevant field.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in industrial shutdowns, turnarounds, or maintenance projects.
  • Proven experience with pressure vessel maintenance, inspection, and repair (API 510 preferred).
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, static equipment, piping, and welding
    .
  • Familiarity with safety regulations, Saudi Aramco / SABIC standards, and industrial shutdown procedures
    .
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent planning, organization, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities on-site.
  • Proficient in MS Office and project reporting tools.
