A typical day includes providing leadership over three H&R Block tax offices, leveraging your people management experience to guide customer-centric teams and accelerate seasonal tax business. This role is a front-line management position focused on leadership, development of associates, delivering an outstanding client experience, and achieving office growth objectives across three tax offices. Prior tax preparation experience is not required. This role is in-person and will begin with a flexible part-time schedule in the fall, transitioning to full-time from January to April, with evening and weekend hours as needed.
Responsibilities- Provide leadership over three H&R Block tax offices and guide customer-centric teams to accelerate seasonal tax business.
- Lead the development and performance of associates, deliver an outstanding client experience, and achieve office growth objectives.
- Manage office staffing, operations, and logistics for multiple offices with support from Associate Team Leaders.
- Partner with the District General Manager (DGM) to create and implement office-level growth plans and client growth targets; develop local partnerships and manage office community involvement.
- Assist DGM in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office positions.
- Conduct timely performance reviews and address performance concerns with support from the Associate Relations Center.
- Build an engaging team environment across offices through training and coaching; recognize outstanding contributions.
- Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office associates.
- Create associate work schedules across all offices and ensure accurate timekeeping and labor management.
- Travel between offices as required.
- Prepare tax returns as needed, upon successful completion of the Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment.
- People management experience with the ability to grow and develop associates.
- Aptitude for growth plan execution and leading towards a growth culture.
- Strong decision-making and judgment skills; capable of functioning in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-centric mindset.
- Computer proficiency with MS Office.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or high school diploma with equivalent experience.
- Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns).
- Multi-unit people management experience in retail, restaurant, banking, or related industry (preferred).

Pay RangeThe pay range for this position is listed below. Local minimum wage laws apply. Individual pay decisions will depend on factors such as experience, education, skill, performance, and geographic location. Eligible associates may participate in incentive plans and benefits described above.
