Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain the efficient operation and upkeep of our property buildings and grounds. The role requires a proactive, safety‑focused approach and the ability to work on an on‑call basis.

• Perform daily repair and maintenance tasks and prepare vacant units for occupancy.
• Manage supplies and equipment inventory; keep required tools on hand.
• Report unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding the property or residents.
• Maintain a professional appearance of the property, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies.
• Secure the maintenance shop each workday and remove snow and ice as needed.
• Respond to 24‑hour service requests and handle lock‑outs resulting from evictions.
• Be available for on‑call duties.

• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Ability to follow detailed written and oral instructions.
• Effective communication skills.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Prior property maintenance or handyman experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to lift heavy objects.
• Must be comfortable using a personal phone for team communications during on‑call periods.
• Must be able to work on‑call for one week at a time, rotating with two other maintenance technicians.

Open‑call schedule is four weeks per year. A maintenance phone will be provided during on‑call periods, and the on‑call candidate will be rent‑free on‑site (will be responsible for utilities).

Full‑time $18.00 to $20.00 per hour, plus a rent‑free unit on‑site (utilities paid by employee).
