Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in industrial and commercial electrical systems, with a strong understanding of electrical codes and safety standards. This role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex electrical systems across various construction and renovation projects. Duties
  • Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems in industrial, commercial, and construction settings
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute projects accurately
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues using tools such as ohmmeters, multimeters, and power tools
  • Work with low voltage and high voltage systems in compliance with NEC standards
  • Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation systems
  • Conduct renovations and upgrades on existing electrical infrastructure
  • Ensure all work adheres to safety protocols, including proper handling of power tools and hand tools
  • Collaborate with construction teams on site to ensure timely project completion
  • Maintain detailed documentation of work performed for compliance and future reference
Requirements
  • Valid Journeyperson Electrician license or certification
  • Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician, with construction site experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of NEC codes, schematics, blueprints, and low/high voltage systems
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing equipment
  • Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and schematics reading
  • Ability to work safely at heights and around construction sites
  • Maintenance Person experience or frame carpentry skills are a plus for versatile project support
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments
