Job Description

The Executive Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the organization, including operations, strategic planning, fundraising, staff management, and compliance. This role requires a strong background in managing state and federal grants, creating and managing budgets, and building collaborative partnerships across the community. The ED must also demonstrate expertise in nonprofit governance, as well as an understanding of the legal and regulatory framework within child advocacy and sexual assault services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Vision:
    Lead the organization’s strategic planning efforts and operational management, working closely with the Board of Directors to advance The Green House’s mission.

  • Grant & Financial Management:
    Oversee a portfolio of state and federal grants, including VOCA, ARPA, and Georgia state funding. Ensure sound financial management through budget oversight, compliance, and reporting.

  • Fundraising & Development:
    Develop and implement fundraising strategies to meet financial goals and sustain services. Cultivate relationships with individual donors, family foundations, and institutional funders such as United Way and CJCC.

  • Team Leadership:
    Supervise staff providing direct services while promoting a positive and supportive work environment. Ensure high standards of care for all clients.

  • Marketing & Communications:
    Manage internal and external communications to increase public awareness. Oversee the creation of marketing materials, social media campaigns, and community outreach efforts.

  • Community Engagement:
    Serve as the public face of The Green House, strengthening relationships with law enforcement, DFCS, local government agencies, and other community partners. Represent the organization at events, meetings, and with the media.

  • Compliance & Data Management:
    Ensure compliance with CACGA standards and grant requirements. Oversee data collection and program performance evaluation.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    Bachelor’s degree required;
    Master’s degree preferred. Relevant experience may substitute for formal education.

  • Experience:
    Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in nonprofit management or related fields. Strong expertise in financial management, grant writing, and operational oversight.

  • Skills:
    Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Ability to manage and develop a team of diverse staff and stakeholders.

  • Additional:
    Experience in child welfare, trauma-informed care, or victim services preferred. Familiarity with Georgia’s legal and regulatory landscape for nonprofits is a plus.

  • Language:
    Proficiency in English required;
    Spanish-speaking skills are a plus.

Other:
Must successfully pass criminal background and Homeland Security checks.
