Machine Helper/Utility (1st & 3rd Shift)
Role OverviewThe Machine Helper/Utility is a vital part of our Converting Department in Dalton, GA. You will support the manufacturing flow by assisting operators, preparing machinery for production, and ensuring our equipment runs at peak efficiency. This is a fast-paced role perfect for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude who enjoy hands‑on work in a team‑oriented environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Support: Assist operators in setting up and adjusting machinery for specific production runs.
Machine Monitoring: Observe equipment during operation to identify malfunctions or quality deviations early.
Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and minor maintenance to minimize downtime.
Material Handling: Load raw materials and safely remove finished products to keep the workflow continuous.
Safety & Organization: Maintain a clean workspace and promptly report hazards or mechanical issues to supervisors.
Mechanical Aptitude: Ability to understand technical instructions and handle basic tools.
Physical Stamina: Comfortable standing for long periods and performing physical tasks, including lifting and moving materials.
Shift Flexibility: Willingness to work 1st or 3rd shifts, including occasional 10‑hour shifts as needed.
Experience (Preferred): Prior experience in manufacturing or production support, specifically within durable goods, is a plus.
