Marketing Alliance Samples is seeking a reliable, safety-focused Material Handler (Forklift Operator) to support our Swatching Department. This role is essential to ensuring materials are moved efficiently, inventory is accurately tracked, and work areas remain clean and organized. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working independently, and thrives in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining strong safety standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate powered industrial vehicles such as forklifts, man-ups, pole trucks, and pallet jacks to transport materials throughout the facility.
  • Perform inventory transactions using computer systems and handheld barcode scanners to ensure accurate material tracking.
  • Load and unload trucks while preventing damage to products and materials.
  • Maintain clean, organized aisles and work areas by properly storing materials in designated locations.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures to ensure safe operation of material handling equipment.
  • Conduct basic equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns to management.
  • Safely refuel propane forklifts and recharge electric forklifts in designated areas.
  • Collaborate with warehouse, swatching, and production teams to ensure timely material flow.
  • Complete additional warehouse or production tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience operating forklifts or similar material handling equipment required.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency with data entry, handheld scanners, and basic computer systems.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Ability to learn and use ERP and database systems effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to follow directions, multi-task, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong project management skills in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting.
