Plant 81 | Shear Operator Position Overview
Responsible for operating the shear machine. This position will be assigned to either a 2nd or 3rd shift.
Essential Duties- Oversee the shearing process which enhances the carpet's finish
- Monitor the lint house for proper operation
- Monitor all accumulators and carpet guides
- Must fill in as technician as needed
- Frequently required to reach, handle, stand, and stoop
- Close vision and good hearing required
- Work in a normal industrial environment with inherent background noise, dirt, humidity, and temperature variations
- Must participate in group stretching prior to shift
8 Hr non-rotating shift, hours fall to out-punch day, observed calendar, shift starts PM.
