Primary Objective: Safely operate heatset machinery to meet and exceed quality, production, and efficiency goals.

Major Function and Scope:

• Threads and repairs breakouts to maintain efficiency and meet production standards
• Proactively identifies yarn quality during production runs
• Selects and stages tubes for winder operation
• Doffs off finished yarn packages as required
• Performs other duties as required

Type of Experience and Knowledge: Previous Yarn or Manufacturing experience is preferred.

• Ability to read and write numbers.
• Pay attention to details.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations.
• Able to communicate effectively with peers, maintenance, and management.

Physical Requirements / Other Pertinent Job Information:

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Must be able to sit, stand, reach, bend and twist without restrictions.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Constantly bend, crouch, and stoop throughout the shift.
• Work in an environment that is noisy, non-climate-controlled facilities, and high traffic production floor.
