Job SummaryThis position is responsible for directing the college’s computing and information services functions. Ensures a customer‑service focused operation and that IT planning and resourcing is integrated with institutional operations with a particular focus on faculty and student support.

- Manages the acquisitions, maintenance, update, and operation of information technology resources.
- Develops departmental strategic plans and establishes departmental priorities.
- Develops and implements college IT policies and procedures.
- Prepares annual reports.
- Coordinates with the University System of Georgia and participates in the CIO Advisory Council.
- Works as part of a coordinated team to ensure compliance with Board Policy, USG Business Procedures, ITS Handbook requirements, and other USG and regulatory guidelines governing use of IT resources.
- Develops and manages department budgets.
- Approves all IT‑related expenditures.
- Manages Student Technology Fee budget.
- Develops and implements security protocols.
- Develops and implements disaster recovery plans and procedures.
- Hires, trains, assigns, directs, supervises, evaluates, and disciplines personnel.
- Baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to the occupational field required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least five years of related experience.
- Master’s degree in a course of study related to the occupational field.
- Management and supervisory experience.
