Process Engineer - Dalton, Georgia

Job Responsibilities:
  • Coordination between the project team and the start-up production in Dalton in the area of tooling and production.
  • Coordination with the individual departments thus the interaction between production, logistics and QA before SOP to ensure deliveries and internal Q Looping is given.
  • Creation of production documents (ex. work step card, standard operation shield) for Hot Forming, Laser and Welding.
  • Support in the creation of set-up plans in Hot Forming.
  • Knowledge and the support of analysis of the production results of GEDIA Group.
  • Calculations for improvement and rationalization measures.
  • Participation in layout planning and project planning for machines and systems.
  • Maintenance, further development and analysis of various production-related key figures (KPIs) in the work area.
  • Support in customer Audits and 5S implementation.
Job Qualifications:
  • Completed training as an engineer, industrial engineer, or comparable training with many years of professional experience in production areas of the automotive industry.
  • Can professionally manage projects at various hierarchical levels.
  • In-depth experience in production, hot-forming, laser, and welding within the automotive industry.
  • Intercultural competence for the corresponding supplier and customer regions.
  • Willingness to support on multiple shifts and in time of emergency.
  • Willingness to learn new processes and make change.
  • Ability to work in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Languages:

    English (German preferred)
