Job SummaryDalton State College School of Health Professions seeks a full‑time, tenure‑track Assistant Professor of Social Work beginning August 1, 2026. Faculty workload consists of teaching, student success, research/scholarship/creative activity, professional service, and professional growth. Other duties include advising and mentoring students, keeping office hours, developing curriculum, assessing student learning, providing service to the campus and community, and undertaking professional development. Teaching assignments may include day, evening, off‑campus, or online courses, and summer teaching may be available on a competitive basis.
Minimum requirements:
master’s degree in social work from a CSWE‑accredited program, at least five years’ practice experience, and active LMSW licensure. LCSW licensure or eligibility highly preferred;
PhD or DSW desired. Teaching experience in a higher education setting strongly desired. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
The Dalton State Social Work program is fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education and expects a clinician able to teach across the BSW curriculum and specifically generalist micro‑practice courses. This position is on campus; it is not an online teaching role.

Minimum salary $59,000; salary commensurate with education level and experience.
