Job Summary

The School of Arts and Sciences at Dalton State College invites applicants for part‑time instructors in the following disciplines: astronomy, chemistry, engineering, physics, and sustainability. Teaching assignments may include day, evening, off‑campus, or online courses. Qualified local high school teachers interested in teaching dual enrollment courses at their school are also invited to apply. A complete application must include a letter of interest, a curriculum vita, and unofficial transcripts of all college work (official transcripts are required upon hiring).

Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the positions are filled.

Responsibilities
  • Teach courses at the undergraduate level.
Required Qualifications
  • An earned Master’s degree, Doctorate preferred, with at least 18 graduate credit hours in the specified field or a closely related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
  • College classroom teaching experience.
  • Earned Doctorate.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to teach in face‑to‑face, hybrid, and online classrooms.
  • Willingness to accommodate a variety of learning styles and use applied learning approaches.
