Work as a member of a team to collect data on stream conditions in the Bull Creek watershed of Columbus, GA. Work will be conducted outside in local streams that must be accessed by traversing steep embankments. Lab work will involve sorting through samples and identifying macroinvertebrates as part of a team of researchers.

Duties and responsibilities include participating in field work to characterize stream conditions and riparian area, collect macroinvertebrate samples, sorting samples, and identifying macroinvertebrates using keys and a dissecting scope.

• Pursuing a B.S. in Biology or Environmental Science

• Experience doing freshwater ecology and identifying macroinvertebrates.

The salary is commensurate with education and experience. This position can work up to 19 hours per week.
