Job Description
Warehouse Person Inventory (260 Days) - ( RTP )
Responsibilities- Receiving, storing, labeling, cycling, moving, pulling, picking, packing, staging, counting, loading and unloading incoming and outgoing food and non-food items
- Ensure orders are tightly secured (wrapped) on pallets and ready for transport
- Assist in record keeping, shelving, arranging, labeling and storing food and non-food items
- Store items in their designated bin/shelf/container/storage area, etc.
- Report to warehouse supervisors when stock/supplies in assigned area needs replenished
- Maintain, inspect and service equipment according to Risk Management procedures as assigned
- Participate in regular and special physical inventories including counting, sorting and leveling as assigned
- Assist with the delivery of food and non-food items to designated sites/locations
- Assist in the pick-up of foods/non-foods from designated sites/locations
- Report damaged product to management and assist in Maria Luna Facility cleaning
- Complete daily/periodic record keeping
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and procedures
- Receive and/or provide cross-training for various warehouse equipment/functions
- Be able to lift up to 60 lbs routinely
- Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned
- As a federally funded employee, you must comply with time and effort reporting requirements through personnel activity reports or periodic certification, as appropriate
Selected individuals for Dallas Independent School District positions will be placed according to compensation guidelines. A campus-based professional employee may not assume a new position for which he/she was selected based upon the posting process until the end of the current semester, unless approved by the Executive Director - Human Capital Management.

Qualifications- Accredited Senior High School Diploma or valid equivalent (USA equivalency)
- One or more years of directly related experience preferred
- Must have valid Texas Driver License and acceptable driving record
- Must pass drug and alcohol testing (pre-employment) and randomly
- Must be able to follow directions in written and verbal form
- Complete/hold valid Texas Department of Agriculture Food Handlers Certificate within 30 days of employment
- Experience working in a commercial freezer in temperatures as low as sub-zero (-15 degrees) preferred
- Demonstrated ability to handle paperwork and performing various warehouse functions
- Demonstrated ability to operate various warehouse equipment such as stand up/sit down forklift, walk behind pallet jack, electric pallet jack, electric dock plates, etc. Become certified within 30 days of employment
- Demonstrated ability to read, write and make simple mathematical computations
- Ability to communicate in English (speak, read and write)
