Material Handler

Position Overview

The Material Handler position will provide onsite logistical and building maintenance support. The material handler must have good customer service skills, basic computer skills (including familiarity with Microsoft software), and the ability to work independently and be a responsible self‑starter.

7:00 am – 3:30 pm (Monday–Friday)

• Work under the direction of the warehouse lead.
• Pull and issue material for construction and maintenance projects.
• Inspect material.
• Transfer material.
• Replenish material.
• Process orders.
• Perform quality control.
• Conduct inventory auditing and accounting functions.
• Perform routine maintenance.
• Prepare for disposal of materials.
• Recycle and salvage materials.
• Assist in emergency restoration.
• Support other warehouse workloads as required.
• Perform general housekeeping, cleaning, and sweeping daily or as needed.
• Band transformers.

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft software.
• Willingness to learn.
• Must be able to work overtime as necessary.

• Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
• Stand, walk and sit for 2/3 of the time.
• Use hands to finger, handle or feel for 2/3 of the time.
• Reach with hands or arms for 2/3 of the time.
• Climb or balance for 1/3 of the time.
• Stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl for 1/3 of the time.
• Talk and hear clearly.
• Lift up to 50 pounds for 1/3 of the time.
• Occasionally help reorganize spaces and move small objects.
• Work in high, precarious places for 1/3 of the time.
