Job Summary To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a
** Material Handler
** located in
** Dallas, Texas.
** Reporting to the Materials Manager, the
** Material Handler
** will be responsible for processing inbound and outbound shipment activities.
** Shift**: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
** What a typical day looks like:
*** Load and unload deliveries using forklifts, dollies, or hand trucks in a safe manner.
* Verifies the quality and count of all items unloaded from trucks and trailers; checks against suppliers count and immediately reports discrepancies to carriers, supervisor, and purchasing department per company policy.
* Notifies supervisor of major discrepancies, over-shipments, or substitutions.
* Stage received material and product in appropriate location.
* Create shipping and receiving receipts within system.
* Performs inspections on received material and product; document and refuse delivery if material and product does not meet quality standards.
* Maintains inventory management systems to ensure that orders are updated and that appropriate billing documents are provided to accounting or other associated departments, as required.
* Stages product in appropriate staging area for pick up by shipping carrier.
* Performs other related duties, as assigned.
** The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
*** High School Diploma or equivalent
* At least one year of experience in shipping and receiving, logistics, or any related field
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, detail-oriented skills
* Solid organizational and time management skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Familiar with cycle counting, picking and posting, and working with an MRP/ERP system
