Air Import Coordinator | Dallas, Texas | Salary:
Up to $65,000

This role is responsible for managing international air import shipments from origin to final delivery, ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs regulations, and delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience in air freight forwarding, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple shipments in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage international air import shipments from arrival to final delivery
  • Track and trace shipments; proactively communicate status updates to customers
  • Prepare and review import documentation including Air Waybills, commercial invoices, packing lists, and arrival notices
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs regulations and TSA requirements
  • Work closely with customs brokers to facilitate timely clearance
  • Arrange delivery with trucking providers and final mile carriers
  • Communicate with overseas agents, airlines, warehouses, and trucking companies
  • Handle billing, cost verification, and file profitability review
  • Resolve shipment discrepancies, delays, or service issues
  • Maintain accurate shipment records in the company’s operating system
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in air import freight forwarding required
  • Strong knowledge of international shipping documentation and procedures
  • Understanding of U.S. Customs import processes
  • Experience working with Cargowise or similar freight forwarding software preferred
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a deadline-driven environment
  • Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
