Job Description

Pay & Benefits: $76.64/hour*, with the possibility of future increases per the wage scale under the applicable collective bargaining agreement based on time in position. Opportunities for overtime and shift premiums are available.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and conduct classroom and simulator training per FARs, Training Policies/Manuals, and company requirements.
  • Facilitate pilot learning and development.
  • Develop and create instructional and evaluation media/materials to support training programs.
  • Maintain course material and procedural integrity through self‑study, skill practice, critique review, and instructor meetings.
  • Perform other job duties as directed by leaders.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Experience operating training equipment, including computer‑based training workstations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Good working knowledge of FAR training requirements and flight training instructional duties.
  • Excellent English verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read technical aircraft documents, understand new technical concepts, and prepare written technical documents.
  • Ability to accomplish accurate work under tight time constraints while maintaining flexibility.
  • Availability for various assigned hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and a rotating schedule covering operational hours (up to 24/7).
Education
  • Required:

    High School Diploma or GED.
Experience
  • Required:

    Flying experience operating an aircraft.
Licensing / Certification
  • Required:

    USA DOT/FAA Unrestricted Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with:
    • Airplane Multiengine Land Category and Class Ratings
    • English Proficient limitation
  • Required:

    Valid United States Driver's License.
  • Required:

    Meeting all regulatory criteria to obtain and maintain Flight Deck Jumpseat Access; continuous enrollment in Rap Back.
Physical Abilities
  • Vision sufficient to view/read computer/video/flight deck displays.
  • Ability to participate in the FAR‑directed Line Observation Program.
  • Ability to enter/exit aircraft and simulators under normal and emergency conditions.
  • Ability to sit in simulator uninterrupted for up to 4 hours.
  • Work from limited space workstation/desk for extended periods.
  • Communicate in English to meet job demands.
  • Use computer and office tools with speed and accuracy.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs.
  • Work at elevated heights and operate a flight simulator.
  • Manipulate flight controls at full deflection.
  • Pass annual flight evaluation.
  • Present/facilitate for up to 8 hours.
  • Make/receive audible call‑outs in classroom and simulator settings.
Other Qualifications
  • Maintain well‑groomed appearance per company standards.
  • U.S. citizenship or authorized to work in the U.S. under the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
  • Comply with company attendance standards.
  • Minimum age 23 years.
