Vice President, Software Development

Job Duties:

Vice President with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in Dallas, Texas. Develop and support software used to meet the Firm’s non-financial regulatory obligations. Lead strategic platform development using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, SQL, Unix Shell Scripting, RESTful web services, Elastic Search, and Mongo

DB. Drive the design and implementation of a strategic platform. Provide ad-hoc production support to resolve system issues. Ensure quality of code by writing unit tests using JUnit and Mockito. Work with multiple technology and operations teams in developing solution designs. Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior members of the team. Work in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) using the Agile methodology.

Own requirements gathering, user story refinement, development, testing (unit, integration and regression), User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and deployment.

Job Requirements:

Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, a related Engineering specialty like Computer Engineering or Information Systems Engineering, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related software development role or Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, a related Engineering specialty like Computer Engineering or Information Systems Engineering, or a related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related software development role.

Prior experience must include three (3) years (with Master’s) or five (5) years (with Bachelor’s) with the following: building backend services for multi-tier applications using Core Java, C#, or Spring; utilizing and building RESTful web services; utilizing relational or No

SQL databases; utilizing messaging technologies including EMS, Kafka or Rabbit

MQ; and full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) using the Agile methodology, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.
