Software Validation Engineer

We are hiring a Senior Software Validation Engineer to join our Carrollton, TX client for a fully onsite contract-to-hire opportunity. This role is ideal for someone with strong embedded systems validation experience who thrives in hands-on hardware/software environments.

• Design and implement validation strategies for embedded controllers
• Develop and maintain:
• Test plans aligned with functional and system requirements
• Manual & automated test cases
• Detailed bug reports with root cause analysis
• Execute validation across all stages of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
• Debug hardware/software interactions using tools such as:
• Logic analyzers
• Protocol analyzers
• Develop automated validation frameworks (Python preferred)
• Work cross-functionally with software, hardware, and product teams
• Drive improvements in validation methodologies and quality standards

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• 8+ years of experience in system-level validation
  , preferably in embedded systems
• Strong expertise in:
• Microcontrollers
• RTOS
• Firmware validation
• Experience with automation frameworks & scripting (Python preferred)
• Familiarity with communication protocols:
• UART
• I2C
• SPI
• CAN
• BLE
• Programming experience in C, C++, C#, Python, Bash, or Rust
• Experience with Azure Dev Ops (preferred)
• Git version control knowledge
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines
• Self-driven engineer who works independently
• Strong analytical & debugging mindset
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Passion for continuous improvement and innovation
