Senior Tools Engineer

THE ROLE:

Probably Monsters is looking for a friendly & curious Senior Tools Engineer who wants to help create a new competitive shooter as part of an incubation game team.

You will join a team that believes:

In this role you will be responsible for developing and maintaining tools that help our team create world‑class games. You will work closely with other engineers and artists to design and implement tools that improve the efficiency of our workflows.

• Develop and maintain tools that help our team create world‑class games.
• Write clean, maintainable code that is easy to understand and modify.
• Collaborate with artists and designers to understand their workflow and requirements.
• Independently design, develop, test, and maintain high quality tools for the game under development.

• 5+ years of experience in software development.
• Experience working with cross-discipline teams within AAA Games.
• Strong experience with C++ and Python programming languages.
• Experience developing tools for game development.
• Strong problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills.

• Experience with Unreal Engine 5.
• Experience working in console software development.

• The full salary range for this position is $117,000 - $177,000 per year. When an offer is made, many factors are considered, such as your unique experience and skills, where you live, where the work will be performed, what similar jobs pay, and internal equity.
• In addition to base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for additional incentives, such as short‑ and long‑term incentives. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
