Software Engineer, Backend Developer, Cloud Engineer - Software

The Go Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and operating scalable, resilient microservices that power customer-facing and internal technology products. This role emphasizes backend architecture and distributed systems design while also contributing to modern, responsive front-end applications.

You will play a key role in evolving our service-oriented architecture, building independently deployable services in Go, and ensuring high availability, performance, and observability across systems. The ideal candidate has strong experience designing microservices, implementing API contracts, managing inter-service communication, and operating systems in cloud-native environments.

• Design and develop scalable, resilient microservices using Go
• Define and maintain clear API contracts (REST and/or event-driven interfaces) between services
• Architect distributed systems with a focus on reliability, scalability, and fault tolerance
• Implement inter-service communication patterns (synchronous and asynchronous)
• Design and manage service-level database schemas and data ownership models
• Build and maintain responsive front-end components that consume backend services
• Implement observability practices including logging, monitoring, tracing, and alerting
• Participate in code reviews and promote engineering best practices
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Dev Ops, QA, product, and design teams
• Document service architecture, APIs, and operational procedures

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field (preferred)
• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience
• 2+ years of experience building backend services in Go
• Strong experience designing and implementing microservice architectures
• Experience building RESTful APIs and/or event-driven services
• Deep understanding of distributed systems concepts (service discovery, load balancing, circuit breaking, retries, idempotency)
• Experience with synchronous and asynchronous communication patterns (HTTP/gRPC, messaging systems)
• Experience working with relational and/or No
  
  SQL databases in service-oriented architecture
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Strong debugging, performance tuning, and production support experience
• Strong problem-solving skills and architectural judgment
• Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability
• Experience with event streaming platforms (Kafka, Pub/Sub, NATS)
• Experience with API gateways and service meshes
• Experience implementing authentication and authorization (OAuth2, JWT, SSO)
• Familiarity with domain-driven design (DDD) principles
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments
