- Strong understanding of object‑oriented design principles
- Experience working in Agile environments (SCRUM)
- Knowledge of Dev Ops methodologies, including Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment
- Ability to design solutions optimized for performance, resiliency, reliability, and simplicity
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to document code and architecture clearly
- Write, test, and document high‑quality code, scripts, and technical artifacts according to established standards.
- Design and implement scalable, self‑contained systems within the team’s domain.
- Lead development of significant enhancements to existing systems.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Define test strategies and instrumentation to ensure latency, availability, and reliability targets are met.
- Identify and mitigate potential security vulnerabilities and attack surfaces.
- Improve system observability and supportability through proper instrumentation.
- Break down complex technical designs into manageable deliverables for the team.
- Promote code reusability and architectural consistency across implementations.
- Mentor and guide team members to elevate engineering quality and technical expertise.
- Continuously identify opportunities to introduce improvements in tools, architecture, and processes.
- Lead by example in prioritizing vulnerability remediation and technical debt reduction.
