Embedded Linux Engineer

Our multidisciplinary team designs, develops, and deploys innovative digital products that help transform businesses across different industries.

At Krasamo, we are looking for an Embedded Linux Engineer with experience in firmware development and embedded C++ software development to join our team in Mexico.

The selected candidate will be involved in:

• Firmware and embedded software development on Linux
• Kernel customization and system configuration using Yocto Project
• PCB design, validation, and testing for IoT devices
• Hardware and software integration for embedded systems
• Development and debugging of drivers and kernel modules
• Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams on IoT projects
• Performance, reliability, and security optimization in embedded environments

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
• Intermediate to advanced English level (B2 or higher)
• 5+ years of experience in embedded systems development
• Strong command of C/C++ and Embedded Linux
• Experience with Yocto Project, kernel customization, and Linux integration
• Knowledge of hardware, PCB design, and design tools
• Experience with version control (Git) and collaborative environments
• Familiarity with communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, BLE, Wi-Fi, MQTT, etc.)

• Experience with RTOS and ARM platforms
• Embedded systems integration with the cloud (IoT)
• Use of Docker or containers in embedded development
• Knowledge of firmware security and device management
• Passion for electronics, automation, and smart product development
• Teamwork with hardware, firmware, and software engineers
• Coordination mainly in U.S. Central Time (CST) schedule
