Sr. Embedded UI Application Developer

Job Description

• Design, develop and deliver high‑quality, intuitive, and easy‑to‑use embedded UI applications/interfaces that run on Client OS/TV platform.
• Own the design and architecture of software components and modules for new products and features.
• Technically lead the team and communicate designs and decisions with the onshore team, encouraging new ideas and solutions.
• Drive the execution and delivery of features by collaborating with cross‑functional teams, architects, product owners and engineers.
• Make critical decisions contributing to the success of the product.
• Participate in cross‑functional coordination, planning, and reviews with leads from other engineering teams.
• Design APIs/SDKs used by internal and external teams.
• Be a multiplier, passionately supporting team members’ success.
• Maintain high morale and motivate the delivery team to exceed expectations.
• Advocate for technical excellence and help teams make sound decisions.
• Lead, coach, and mentor the software engineering team, guiding product discovery that breaks product goals into technical projects.
• Continuously improve team productivity, code quality, tooling, and technology adoption; optimize and fine‑tune software applications.
• Work in Agile mode, attending daily status meetings with the entire team.
• Resolve business rule complexity into formats understandable by the dev team.
• Research and implement new design patterns and standards to improve development workflows.
• Collaborate across teams—including QA, release management, operations, and third‑party partners—to deliver projects on time.
• Research and implement functional requirements using up‑to‑date technology and skills.
• Review software design and implementations.
• Maintain clean, extensible, and modular code for cross‑platform architecture.

• B.S. or Master’s degree in computer science; experience in TV/STB application development is a plus.
• 10+ years of experience in front‑end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and native JavaScript (Angular, React
  
  JS) for clean, efficient code.
• Full‑stack development experience with Node.js, JavaScript, React, Type Script, and SQL.
• Experience with C++ and related frameworks.
• Keen judgment on when to use existing solutions versus building new ones.
• Strong software development and design experience with C++, RPC, Web Sockets, and REST frameworks.
• Proactive in foreseeing issues and resolving them before they occur.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Additionally, must be a team player participating in Agile ceremonies, collaborating, sharing technical knowledge, performing peer code reviews, and providing technical guidance to junior team members.
