Java SDET Lead
Location: Dallas, TX
Job Mode: Full-time
Job DescriptionThe role is to lead quality engineering efforts, develop and maintain automation frameworks, and drive QA for web services and front-end applications.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain end‑to‑end automation frameworks for web services, JavaScript front‑end (Angular or React), and database testing.
- Write and execute automation tests using Java, JavaScript, Spring Boot, and build tools such as Maven.
- Utilize test automation tools such as Postman, mabl, SOATest, Selenium, Cucumber, TestNG.
- Support CI/CD pipelines, performance testing (JMeter), and API contract testing (Pact, Swagger).
- Collaborate with cloud environments (PCF, AWS, GCP) and Dev Ops tools (Git, Git Hub Actions, Bamboo).
- Apply Agile/SAFe practices, exploratory testing, and bug‑tracking using JIRA, Zephyr.
- Manage multiple geographically distributed QA projects, handling scoping, sizing, and risk assessment.
- Use web services virtualization and test data management.
- Represent QA in product code reviews and lead SDET team members based in India.
- Demonstrate strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills across time zones and cultures.
- 7+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance Engineering.
- 5+ years developing and maintaining automation frameworks for web services, JavaScript front‑end, and database testing.
- Proficient coding in Java and JavaScript with experience in Spring Boot, Maven.
- Hands‑on experience with Postman, mabl, SOATest, Selenium, Cucumber, TestNG, etc.
- Knowledge of CI/CD, performance testing, API contract testing.
- Experience with cloud environments (PCF preferred, AWS or GCP acceptable).
- Familiarity with SCM and Dev Ops tools (Git Hub, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Git Hub Actions).
- Experience in Agile/SAFe development and exploratory testing.
- Knowledge of bug‑tracking and test case management tools (JIRA/MTM, Zephyr/HPQ).
- Ability to manage geographically distributed QA teams.
