Traveling Position Details

THIS IS A TRAVELING POSITION

• Base Wage $20-$26/hourly
• Prevailing Wage Opportunities (up to $80 hourly)
• Daily per diem paid on all non-prevailing wage projects
  • 1‑week trip – $25.00 per diem daily
  • 2‑week trip – $40.00 per diem daily
• Crew lodging paid for by FSG
• Employees must be willing to travel by airline
• Work/travel schedule: up to 10 days (2 paid travel days + 8 working days) and 4 days off
• Rotation of work shift possible: 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift depending on project; most work on 1st or 2nd shift. 3rd shift rare but may be required

MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A GOVERNMENT BACKGROUND CHECK

As a Lighting Technician, you will be responsible for installing lighting products safely and neatly in customer facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a high level of professional customer service and have a vast knowledge of lighting retrofit strategies. Technicians must have strong communication skills, team‑oriented goals, and a positive attitude.

• Comply with FSG safety policies.
• Install lighting fixtures, lamps, ballast, controls, or other items associated with lighting systems.
• Work cohesively with crew and crew foreman, understanding task provided.
• Work in a safe manner so as not to damage or disturb customer facilities.
• Work from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, or roofs to install. Maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures. Perform physically demanding tasks while conveying knowledge of basic/specialized tools and equipment throughout the service job/work order process.
• Must understand and conform to Government/Local regulations and ordinances as well as any/all required Safety Guidelines.

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree
• At least 1+ years of lighting or electrical experience.
• Valid driver’s license
• Willingness to travel
• Must be reliable.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Positive customer service skills
