We are currently seeking an experienced Seasoned Data Center HVAC Technician in Dallas, TX to join our fast‑growing team. The ideal candidate will possess a can‑do attitude, strong problem‑solving skills, and an active EPA Certification.
Job Responsibilities- Diagnose causes of problems and/or failures in air‑cooled and water‑cooled heating & air conditioning systems for accurate repair and replacement decisions.
- Operate and diagnose internal equipment controls and building automation systems.
- Perform maintenance and service repairs, install new units, or replace components of existing units as required.
- Provide elite customer service to every customer encountered.
- Maintain service relationships with clients at large and small facilities.
- Service and troubleshoot chillers, cooling towers, boilers, pumps, outdoor split and package units, air handlers, fans, and other equipment types.
- Communicate with Dispatch to ensure completion of scheduled jobs.
- Work within allotted time requirements.
- Maintain preventive maintenance schedules and procedures for customers.
- Continual learning and development through First Call Academy to maintain industry skill standards.
- Deliver elite level of customer service to uphold First Call’s reputation.
This position reports to the local Service Manager and is responsible for engaging with the service team and all customers.
Qualifications- Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
- Active EPA Certification.
- 5+ years of experience in a commercial HVAC setting.
- Experience working in a Data Center (preferred).
- OSHA 10 Certification.
- Manufacturer Certification is preferred.
- Availability for flexible hours and on‑call shifts as needed.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write clear correspondence; effectively communicate with customers by checking in and out of jobs; explain problems and resolution in customer‑friendly manner; closely communicate issues, concerns, and updates with account managers.
Mathematical SkillsAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; compute rates, ratios, percentages; draw and interpret graphs.
Reasoning AbilityApply common sense to carry out written, oral, or diagram instructions; handle problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations; prioritize multiple tasks; lead and teach helpers and junior technicians.
Physical DemandsRegular use of hands; standing, walking, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling; lifting or moving up to 50 pounds; specific vision requirements including close, distance, peripheral, depth vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
