Job Summary
Performs preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment, including changing air filters, greasing, replacement of belts, and more. Installs motors, electronics, thermostats, humidistats, fans, and other HVAC components, heating water and hydronics, chilled water controls and automated control systems. Assists with troubleshooting and resolving issues with HVAC equipment. Maintains a flexible work schedule, including being on‑call. Other duties as assigned. Must be willing to work weekends.
This position will be located at 2126 W Mockingbird Ln Dallas, TX 75235.
High school diploma or GED equivalent and a minimum of one year of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning experience. Basic electrical, plumbing, and Building Automation Systems experience is also required. EPA Universal Certification is required, and the applicant must possess and maintain a valid Texas driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Other QualificationsTo the extent this position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section 117.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure is a minimum qualification for hiring and continued employment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Repair or replace motors, fans, thermostats, etc.
- Preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment.
- Respond to hot/cold calls and other related calls.
- Other duties as assigned.
- South Campus is a general maintenance shop so, in addition to HVAC work, you will assist with painting, flooring, plumbing, electrical, and move and events, plus other duties as assigned.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Texas driver’s license and an acceptable driver rating as established in Policy: UTS
157 Section 2.5.4.

Work will be performed on site and in person. May be required to report to the on‑site work location during campus closures or inclement weather.
