Our client seeks a Heavy Equipment Mechanic who is responsible for maintenance of gas and diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and welding.
The equipment includes excavators, loaders, backhoes, blades, cranes, semis, and off-road haul trucks as well as pickups, pumps, and generators. Most of the equipment repairs take place in the field. The position includes operating and maintaining a company provided medium-duty mechanic truck and other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities- Maintenance of gas and diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and welding.
- Repair and service a mixed fleet of heavy construction equipment including excavators, loaders, backhoes, blades, scrapers, dump trucks, cranes, semis, and off-road trucks, as well as pickups, pumps, and generators.
- Perform repairs in the field when needed and operate a company provided medium-duty mechanic truck.
- Collaborate with all departments to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.
- Monitor and perform routine scheduled maintenance.
- Work overtime as needed.
- $40.00 - $44.00 per hour DOE

- 5+ years related equipment repair, servicing and maintenance experience minimum.
- Your own tools, valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record.
- Formal diesel mechanic training that includes maintenance and repair of hydraulic and electrical systems a plus.
- Class A driver’s license and certified welding experience preferred.
- Experience with excavators, loaders, back hoes, blades, scrapers, dump trucks, cranes, semis and off-road trucks as well as pickups, pumps, and generators.
- Maintenance on mixed fleet of heavy construction equipment.
- Monitoring and performing routine schedule maintenance.
- Time Management skills greatly desired.
