Role PurposeResponsible for the safe and efficient repair and rebuilding of airport service vehicles, including support trucks, stationary carts, tankers, and hydrant trucks. The role includes inspecting and identifying defective parts, performing repairs to gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems, and ensuring preventive care and timely repairs to maintain safe operation of the aircraft services team.
Responsibilities- Inspect and identify defective or broken parts on vehicles; repair gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, fueling, and mechanical systems.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual quality control checks on refueling equipment and maintain related records.
- Drive and operate refueling equipment vehicles.
- Maintain a safe, secure work environment in accordance with local health, safety, and security policies.
- Hydrate electric equipment according to the Hydration Schedule.
- Program and understand the functions of the Rapid Charger, including the BMID.
- Repair and replace all tires and wheels.
- Perform accident inspections on involved equipment and report all accidents to Shop Supervisors and Managers.
- Answer all radioed repair calls on the ramp and safely operate all vehicles and Ground Support Equipment (GSE). Perform Daily Equipment Checks (DEC’s).
- Must have maintenance experience and be 18 years of age.
- Valid US driver’s license and authorization to work in the USA.
- Proficient reading, writing, and speaking English; able to lift/move 70 lbs and work in all weather conditions.
- Flexible to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- High School Diploma, GED, or related experience and training; operational knowledge of airport badge requirements.

Tool and Equipment Requirements- Swivel, socket (deep and shallow), extension 3” and 6”, deep impact socket 1/215/16”, standard 5/16 – 1”, spark plug socket 5/8 and 13/16”.
- Crescent wrenches 8” and 12”.
- Ball peen hammer 32 oz., 4‑pound sledge, punch and chisel set.
- Phillips and standard head screwdrivers #1 & #2; pry bar 24”.
- OSHA approved air nozzle.
- Flashlight, tire pressure gauge (up to 120 PSI), tape measure (25”), oil filter wrenches, gloves, medium locking rollaway toolbox, small locking road box.
