Installation Technician, Field/Service Technician
A fast-growing leader in wireless infrastructure services is seeking a skilled DAS Technician to join their dynamic team. This role is ideal for a hands-on technician with a deep understanding of Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS), fiber optic infrastructure, and RF testing tools. You'll be part of a collaborative team maintaining high-profile wireless installations across various venues, supporting modernization initiatives, and ensuring compliance with long-term service contracts.

Key Responsibilities- Perform installation, testing, and maintenance of DAS, Wi-Fi, and Small Cell systems across major venues and commercial sites.
- Complete physical construction tasks such as pulling and terminating coax and fiber cables, assembling racks, and mounting antennas and radio units.
- Conduct PIM, sweep, and OTDR testing, ensuring optimal system performance and compliance with quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and repair coaxial and fiber infrastructure using advanced test equipment.
- Support technology upgrades, preventive maintenance routines, and emergency response to service disruptions.
- Collaborate with field supervisors and project leads to meet project timelines and service level agreements.
- Maintain accurate documentation of installations, inspections, and repairs.
- Travel to project sites as needed, with accommodations and per diem provided.
- 2–3 years of direct experience in DAS installation and maintenance is required.
- Must have hands-on expertise with PIM and sweep testing, coaxial cable termination, and fiber installation.
- OTDR and fiber power meter experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience with OEM equipment such as Corning, Solid, JMA, ADRF, or Commscope is a plus.
- Fiber splicing experience is a bonus and will be compensated at a higher rate.
- Strong understanding of RF signal propagation, coaxial and fiber standards, and testing protocols.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and project documentation tools.
- Ability to travel frequently across the DFW metro area.
