Location: Dallas, TX | Schedule: Mon-Fri, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM | Compensation: $60,000
Pride Staff has partnered with an esteemed client and are seeking a Maintenance Technician to serve as the sole maintenance professional for a premier 98,000-square-foot, 10-story commercial office building. This is a critical role for a "hands-on" expert who takes pride in ownership and prefers the independence of managing a property's mechanical and structural integrity.
Key Responsibilities
As the primary technician on-site, you will be the "face of the building" for 100+ tenant suites and all common areas.
- Systems Management: Independently troubleshoot and maintain HVAC (Boiler and Chiller systems), plumbing, lighting, and electrical frameworks.
- Property Upkeep: Execute wall repairs, professional-grade painting, door hardware adjustments, and general carpentry to keep the facility in "Class A" condition.
- Tenant Relations: Provide white-glove service when responding to tenant work orders, ensuring minimal disruption to their business operations.
- Vendor Oversight: Evaluate building issues to determine if they can be solved in-house or require external contractors; coordinate with vendors as the on-site point of contact.
- Emergency Response: Monitor building operations and act as the primary responder for after-hours emergencies or critical system failures.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in commercial building maintenance.
- Technical Mastery: Advanced knowledge of commercial HVAC (Boilers/Chillers), plumbing, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Physical Capability: Ability to lift 60 lbs, climb ladders, and work comfortably at heights or in confined mechanical spaces.
- The "Sole Tech" Mindset: A self-starter who doesn't need a daily task list and can manage their own inventory and schedule effectively.
- Tools: Must possess a full set of personal hand and power tools.
- Compliance: Ability to pass a comprehensive criminal background check and professional reference verification.
- Benefits:
- Competitive $60k Annual Salary
- Company-Paid Life Insurance
- 401(k) Retirement Plan
- Generous Paid Time Off (PTO)
