Fabrication Technician​/Installer

Mission

As a Fabrication Technician/Installer for Atlas Copco's Compressor Technique division (Airmac), your primary responsibility will be to perform fabrication and installation of components to produce a working process into a self-contained unit per Customer specifications. You will represent our brand's commitment to quality and reliability, collaborating closely with both internal teams and clients to address their needs effectively.

• Install components into designated locations, and then connect units via piping, tubing and electrical in accordance with the plan drawings.
• Troubleshoot any design errors and share them with Management and drafter to resolve any issues.
• Display the ability to understand drawings and purpose for layout, proper piping and tubing specifications and the ability to cut and thread proper lengths to complete tasks as designed.
• Light electrical knowledge on proper landing and running of wire. Willingness to learn welding.
• Display the ability to manage time productively and with a sense of urgency.
• Promote and practice proper safety procedures and the correct use of personal protective equipment at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Experience – 2-3 years of experience in an industrial environment with high temperatures. Used to working with your tools in manual repairs for construction. Forklift and/or welding experience is a plus.
• Education – High School diploma or equivalent required. Working knowledge of grinders, saws, and threaders is useful.
• Skills – Able to work independently with strong self-management and professionalism. Able to complete work within assigned deadlines. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis, and lift 100 lbs. occasionally, and work in an industrial environment including extremes in temperature with continuous walking, reaching, bending, and kneeling.
• Ability to work with newer technicians, apprentices and interns to teach basics skills and knowledge and assist in training other team members.

• Compensation is $28 - $31/hr;
  Salary range is based on knowledge, skills and experience. Geographically adjusted.
