Level II is the second working level in the series. Technicians perform moderate technical tasks related to the analysis of telecommunications technician series. This requires telecommunication-level proficiency in a full range of activities. Job duties require material handling, development plans, inspections, test reports, safety control, specifications, and contract administration. This is a 100% travel position.
Key Responsibilities- Test fibers and CAT6 cables.
- Fiber and Copper terminate, test, and label.
- Technicians will install IT and telecom equipment for customers on‑premises or at SGT locations.
- Lacing power and dressing data cabling.
- Technician will run data cables according to Cable Runsheet.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools.
- Ability to follow directions.
- Ability to roll out data cabling.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Ability to climb, crawl, and stand for multiple hours.
- Ability to work outdoors on ladders, and in confined spaces.
- Ability to work in variable temperatures and weather conditions.
- Ability to work with/around electrical wires and/or ESD products.
